We collect and use the following information in the Services.
We collect your information including your email address, user name, and password. Your password is encoded in a manner that makes it impossible to decode, and is securely saved and managed. An email address will be used, when we send a newsletter to those members who want to subscribe to a newsletter service, or send notices about other services. At times, we collect your real name, physical address, phone number and the likes, in order to send a gift, etc.
Cookies are used to improve user convenience such as filling in your email address automatically when you log-in, or for security such as maintaining and protecting a session.
Logs are created automatically when you visit NAVER's web page and include your IP address, browser type, and browser language. Such information will be used to analyze user environment, thereby providing a better service and preventing fraudulent acts that lead to obstruction of normal services. Search records will be stored and managed in a manner that persons cannot be identified. They will be used to aggregate statistical data.
The help function collects your email address, real name, user name, PC hardware information and the like. Such information may be utilized for investigating and answering your inquiries, and to confirm that the user is the authentic user.
Some of the Services may use location information transmitted from users' mobile phones. We only use such information within the scope we believe necessary for the designated service.
Device-related information including unique device identification of terminals may be collected. The information will be utilized for the provision of better service and to prevent fraudulent acts that may lead to obstruction of normal service provision. Furthermore, such information will not include that which will identify the individual user.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
